DELAND – Barbara Deering, Physical Therapist at Florida Hospital DeLand, has earned a “Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Physical Therapy” (CAPP-Pelvic).
The CAPP-Pelvic certification program focuses on training physical therapists to treat patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, such as urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence and pelvic pain. The CAPP-Pelvic is awarded to physical therapists like Deering who have completed a defined a comprehensive education, training, and testing program.
Deering has more than 30 years of experience in Physical Therapy and has worked at Florida Hospital DeLand for three years. In addition to the CAPP-Pelvic certification, she is also a Certified Kinesio Therapy Practitioner, certified Arthritis Foundation Exercise instructor and certified in Lymphedema management.
Deering, a DeLand resident, provides physical therapy, along with her other niche programs, at Florida Hospital DeLand’s Victoria Medical Park, located at 151 Victoria Commons Blvd, Suite 107, DeLand.
