New Orthopaedic Manager
DELAND – Florida Hospital DeLand has promoted Kembala Castle to serve as the Orthopaedic Service Line Manager.

In this new role, Castle will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the hospital’s Orthopaedic Center of Excellence. She will coordinate with surgeons, hospital administration, staff and the orthopaedic team to provide quality care for the patients. 

Florida Hospital DeLand is the only Orthopaedic Center of Excellence in the area and has been nationally recognized for ranking in the top 10 percent for quality in joint replacement surgery. The facility has also earned the prestigious Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™, Disease-Specific Care Certification in Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement Surgery.

Castle previously served as Florida Hospital DeLand’s Orthopaedic Clinical Coordinator, where she served as patients’ personal liaison and assisted them through the entire joint replacement process, from the pre-operative class through discharge and post-operative follow-up care. 

Castle, a DeLand resident, obtained a nursing degree at the Helene Fuld College of Nursing in New York City. She is currently continuing her education and pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing from Nova Southeastern University.
