Florida Hospital DeLand Sponsors The West Volusia Police Athletic League

DELAND – On March 13, Florida Hospital DeLand presented a $2,000 check at the West Volusia Police Athletic League (PAL) board meeting at the Sandhill Golf Course, located at 800 E. Euclid Ave. in DeLand.

The West Volusia PAL is a non-profit, joint-venture between the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, the DeLand Police Department and the greater DeLand-area community. It provides quality athletic and educational activities for at-risk children in DeLand at low or no cost.

“The West Volusia PAL aims to provide young people with positive role models, help them build self-esteem and give them a safe place for activities,” said Nigel Hinds, Florida Hospital DeLand Chief Financial Officer. “This is a mission that strongly aligns with Florida Hospital’s mission. That’s why Florida Hospital DeLand has sponsored the West Volusia PAL and the good work they do within our community for the past three years.”
